Asian Passion

A culinary tour through Southeast Asia. We'll learn to make those fresh Vietnamese Spring Rolls, then move onto Thailand where we'll learn about all the ingredients to make an authentic Thai Green Curry Paste and then cook it off against a commercial paste to taste the difference. We'll then prepare Paad Thai (Thai Noodles), a fantastic "one-wok" dish ready in 15 minutes. For dessert, we'll venture away from Asia, but still incorporate the tastes of fresh limes in a refreshing and impressive stack of thin Almond Wafers layered with a tangy lime butter and berries.

Thai Green Curry Cooked at Urban Provider's Asian Cooking ClassFresh Vietnamese Rice Paper Rolls – with mildly spiced mince chicken, cucumber, carrot and fresh mint & coriander with sweet chilli dipping sauce

Fragrant Steamed Rice – “foolproof” steamed rice infused with lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves

Thai Green Chicken Curry / Paste – from scratch and then compare it to a commercial paste as we learn to make an authentic Thai Green Chicken Curry.

Thai Style Fried Noodles (Paad Thai) – ribbons of stir-fried rice noodles infused with Asian flavours.

Lime Curd & Fresh Berry Stack – tangy lime filling and berries layered between Almond Tuiles.
