Oriental Passion

With recipes inspired from David Kan, a Chinese/Australian friend of ours and chef from Advanced Catering Concepts in Melbourne, who visited with us and cooked with us for a couple of weeks in April. You'll love these dishes to add to your Asian repertoire, so now you'll be able to prepare your own "Chinese Banquet", without picking up the phone or leaving the house for take-away.

Oriental Passion ($110pp)

  • San Choy Bau - Crisp shells of lettuce filled with a special blend of minced pork, water chestnuts and Asian flavours.
  • Steamed Red Emperor with Asian Flavours - No better way to enjoy fresh fish than this easy and classic Chinese method - steaming fresh fillets with aromatic vegetables and dressing it with soy and sesame oil.
  • BBQ Pork & Prawn Noodle Stir-Fry - A fast & easy favourite Chinese noodle stir fry with fresh yellow Hokkein noodles.
  • Fried Ice Cream with Butterscotch Sauce - The ubiquitous Chinese dessert we all love. Now you'll be able to answer the question that everyone asks - "How do they do that?"
